A Workshop on Mobilization of Investments for African Power Infrastructure was held on the 9 and 10 October, 2008, in Maputo, Mozambique. It was hosted by the Ministry of Energy of Mozambique under the auspices of the Forum of Energy Ministers of Africa (FEMA).

The objective of this event was to drive forward the investment in large scale power generation and transmission projects in Africa.

The event was attended by representatives from Governments of African Countries and from the African Union Commission, senior government officials, and representatives from development partners, from electricity utilities and promoters of power infrastructure projects in Africa, from banking and financial institutions.
