REPORT on FEMA Ministerial Meeting August 05 PDF Print E-mail

The FEMA Ministerial meeting was held on 3rd August 2005 in Entebbe Uganda.
Countries represented at the meeting were Burundi, Cameroon, Cote D’Ivoire,
Djibouti, Egypt, Kenya, Guinea, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda,
South Africa, Sudan, Togo, Uganda and Zambia.
The purpose of the Ministerial Meeting was to:
  • Agree on the Memorandum of Understanding.
  • Agree on key activities for the FEMA Workplan for the next two years.
  • Agree on the Rules of Procedure for FEMA
  • Receive an input into the FEMA Statement on Energy and MDGs to be represented at the UN Summit in September 2005.
  • Agree on the process for developing FEMA’s position paper at the Commission for Sustainable Development 2006 and 2007.
